Heather receives support from Hope in a Suitcase, which helps youth who have experienced foster care. Heather is pursuing a degree in social work and is working to support herself and her child. She has faced numerous challenges along the way and is committed to providing her child with a happy, fulfilling childhood, free from the child welfare system.

Heather requested a bottle washer and sterilizer because she is feeling overwhelmed. Her kitchen counter is constantly filled with baby bottles, nipples, and breast pump parts. Every day seems to follow a cycle of feeding, pumping, and then spending valuable time scrubbing tiny parts by hand, only to repeat the process just hours later. With a newborn to care for and little sleep, she is exhausted. Although she wants to ensure her baby is safe, managing everything on her own has become too much. That’s why she asked for help. An all-in-one bottle washer and sterilizer would reduce the hours spent at the sink, lessen her mental stress, and give her more time to focus on her baby—or even sneak in a much-needed nap with her little one.
