Benjamin’s experience in foster care has been largely positive, and he is grateful for the support he’s received. After facing a domestic issue at home, he lived with his aunt for a year, during which he made meaningful progress and created lasting memories. He then moved into an independent living program where he learned to manage his life and make adult decisions with more confidence. In his free time, Benjamin enjoys a variety of hobbies, including reading, writing, poetry, building model kits, playing video games, coding, studying philosophy, and playing card games.

Benjamin is a thoughtful and resilient young person who has faced many challenges but continues to push forward with maturity and curiosity. He’s developed a strong interest in understanding himself and the world around him, often turning to reading and reflection as a way to grow. He’s requesting The Great Philosophers Collection because the lessons in these classic works—on purpose, resilience, and self-discipline—deeply resonate with his personal journey. This set would support his emotional and intellectual growth while giving him a meaningful tool to stay grounded and inspired as he works toward greater independence and stability.
