Kenya has been in foster care for over seven years and has lived in the same foster home throughout this time. Despite facing significant challenges related to her biological family relationships, trauma, and the typical hurdles of growing up, she has thrived both academically and socially. Kenya works part-time after school and is set to graduate from high school at the end of this month. She has exciting plans to start nursing school!

Over the years, Kenya has faced significant challenges related to her family relationships, trauma, and the typical difficulties of growing up. Despite these obstacles, she has excelled both academically and socially. Kenya works part-time after school and graduated from high school this past May. She has ambitious plans for the fall and will be starting nursing school! Though she has encountered many challenges, she has made the most of her circumstances and made thoughtful decisions for her future. She would love to have a pair of comfortable shoes for the long days ahead while she trains to become a nurse.
