After being neglected by both his biological parents and shuffled among various caregivers, he eventually found shelter because no one was willing to care for him. Despite these hardships, David is intelligent and often finds humor in difficult situations. He is adjusting to life in a group home and is forming friendships with the other boys. He enjoys making music and expressing himself through his lyrics.
David is entering his senior year and will soon age out of the foster care system. This means he will no longer have access to the group home computer he currently uses for his virtual classes. He is determined to graduate and earn a high GPA this year, but he needs a personal laptop to complete his assignments and take his tests. Without reliable access to technology, he worries that his academic goals may be out of reach. Granting this wish would relieve some of his stress.
