Edward is an incredible young man who faced significant challenges when he was placed in a group home, separated from his two younger brothers. Adjusting to life in the group home was tough for him, and he even attempted to leave a couple of times. Fortunately, Edward has since been placed in a kinship home where he can live with his siblings once again. A passionate student, Edward truly loves school and excels in athletics. He has a particular fondness for football and basketball, having previously played for an AAU Basketball League before entering foster care. Committed to his future, Edward is focused on graduating high school and pursuing collegiate sports, with aspirations to play basketball or football. Additionally, he has plans to join the military after graduation, showcasing his determination and drive for success.

Edward will be a senior when he returns to school, and he worked extremely hard over the summer to catch up on his grades in summer school, ensuring he stays on track to graduate next year. As the school year approaches, Edward has been asking for a new pair of shoes, specifically a fresh pair of Air Force Ones. Although he has new clothing, he still needs shoes to complete his look. Walking into school with those new shoes will not only make him feel supported but also give him a much-deserved confidence boost!
