Wellroot Family ServicesAlana, who has been in and out of foster care since age 11 due to an abusive home, found stability with a caring foster family. However, after the home became too crowded, she ended up sleeping in her car and staying in motels. She has now joined a transitional living program, putting her pride aside to seek help. A skilled and hard-working young lady, Alana enjoys crafts and educational conversations. To relieve stress, she goes for drives, listens to music, and takes walks. Alana aspires to become a 911 dispatcher and is actively working toward that goal.
Alana's apartment is quite dim, and she has been making do with hand-me-down lamps from her transitional living program. However, they don't provide enough light. She wishes for a new lamp that would greatly ease her mind when coming home alone at night, allowing her to see clearly without relying on her cellphone's flashlight or having to move lamps from different rooms.
