Kay is a kind and gentle person living in a shelter. She deals with challenges that most would find difficult at her age. Kay is diligently working towards her graduation in hopes of finding stability in her life. She enjoys creating art, writing poetry, and exploring New York City.

Kay just moved into a new shelter, but it's farther away from her family and from her prospective job opportunities. She would like an electric scooter that would give her a permanent way to get around the city, go on job interviews, and keep in touch with her networks. Kay will also be able to use it to get to her GED program. With an electric scooter, Kay hopes to regain her independence and enhance her ability to navigate her new environment.
