Christopher “Chris” is an all-around great kid who has been in multiple placements before being allowed to enter Independent Living. He takes pride in his rural country roots. Those who know Chris well describe him as charismatic, mature, and skilled at engaging in conversation and building interpersonal relationships. Chris hopes to one day start his own company providing maintenance services while also pursuing a secondary education.

Chris has been busy this summer working part-time and doing various odd jobs like junk removal, gutter cleaning, yard work, and pressure washing. During this time, he had a growth spurt, and he didn't have enough clothes in the first place. Now, he's left with clothes that are torn, stained, and too small. He would really appreciate a gift card to his favorite store, Ariat, to buy some new clothing. This would help him feel more confident, especially since he wants to apply for part-time jobs but feels self-conscious about not having nice enough clothes for interviews. With the gift card, he could pick out what he needs alongside his case worker, which would make a big difference. This request has been split into two wishes for a nice shopping trip.
