Christopher “Chris” is an all-around great kid who has been in multiple placements before being allowed to enter Independent Living. He takes pride in his rural country roots. Those who know Chris well describe him as charismatic, mature, and skilled at engaging in conversation and building interpersonal relationships. Chris hopes to one day start his own company providing maintenance services while also pursuing a secondary education.

Chris works a variety of odd jobs, including junk removal, gutter cleaning, pond cleaning, and yard work. To perform these tasks effectively, he needs a reliable pair of boots. Unfortunately, the boots he currently has are worn out after years of use. He has tried to repair them with duct tape, a pop can, glue, putty, and Insta-Weld, but none of these methods has worked. Chris also faces another challenge while wearing the same boots to school. He has to take them off to get through the metal detectors, which adds extra hassle to his day. He wishes for a pair of sturdy and dependable boots that would greatly help him continue working and support his journey toward independence.
