Dakari likes school, and his favorite subject is language arts. He also enjoys basketball. He has one older sibling, who is also his best friend. Dakari wants to go to college and become a lawyer.

Dakari is gearing up for the second grade and can barely contain his excitement. He dreams of wearing a fresh pair of New Balance sneakers that would make him feel confident as he steps into the classroom. Unfortunately, his mother isn't in a position to buy them. Despite this, Dakari's hope for those sneakers remains strong, as he knows that having them would make his first day feel even more special.
