Cookie is a strong and determined young girl facing tough challenges rooted in her difficult past, including experiences of domestic violence. She may have ADHD and high-functioning autism and is currently receiving early intervention. These struggles heighten her feelings of shame, which impact her self-confidence. Despite these obstacles, Cookie’s inner strength shines through, especially in her passion for singing and her dreams of attending dance school. Her advanced abilities set her apart, showcasing her unique talents. Additionally, she finds joy and comfort in drawing and playing with her older sister, activities that provide her a sense of happiness amidst her struggles.

Cookie is starting school and urgently needs new sneakers due to a growth spurt. Her new school doesn’t require uniforms, but her mom is struggling financially and isn’t sure of Cookie’s shoe size, making it hard to get proper footwear. A Nordstrom Rack gift card would allow her to shop and try on the shoes at the store. Cookie would greatly benefit from receiving two pairs of sneakers: one for physical education and another for everyday wear.
