Ruben's mother passed away, and his father abandoned him, which resulted in him and his younger brother entering foster care. His native language is Spanish, and he is learning to speak English as quickly as possible. Ruben feels overwhelmed by the changes in his life. He is working hard to succeed in school, but he does not understand all the concepts.

Ruben is embarking on a fresh start with very little to call his own. Something as simple as a trendy water bottle can make a significant difference in helping him feel like he belongs at school. It provides him with a small sense of stability that he can carry with him to classes and activities, giving him a little boost of confidence as he navigates this new chapter in his life.
