An eBike for Sarah to get her to school and work

Sarah, 21 years old, CA

Sarah’s journey through foster care has made her a strong and caring young woman. She grew up with her parents and three brothers but faced the challenge of being separated from her two younger brothers when her family entered the foster care system. As the only girl, she often felt alone. Sarah shines through her faith and kindness, enjoying time with friends and studying the Bible. She loves to pray for others at the park, offering them comfort and encouragement. Now, she has a good relationship with her parents and is studying at Vanguard University. Sarah’s faith, compassion, and determination continue to inspire those around her.

Sarah does not have a driver’s license or access to reliable transportation, which creates significant barriers to her ability to travel to and from school, as well as in her job search. She would like to have an electric bike, which would be a vital tool to help Sarah meet these needs. It would allow her consistent, independent, and affordable transportation to school, work, and other important appointments. Having this resource would not only relieve her transportation struggles but also support her in securing employment, attending classes on time, and maintaining stability in her daily life.
