Terrence entered the foster care system as a teenager and faced many challenges when he turned 18 and moved into Extended Foster Care. It took him years to manage his mental health issues, but through resilience, he built a strong support system. He is focused on college, majoring in social work to help children who have gone through similar experiences. Terrence wants to be a voice of support and advocacy for those in need. Outside of school, he enjoys spending time with friends, dining out, and exploring his town. He is working to create a life of connection and purpose. With hope for the future, Terrence is determined to make a difference.

Terrence is a dedicated community college student who attends classes Monday through Friday. Every morning, he has to wake up extra early to take public transportation in order to make it to class on time. While he is committed to his education, the long commute can be exhausting, and unexpected challenges, like bad weather, delays, or missed connections, make it even harder for him to stay on track. Having an Uber gift card on hand would give Terrence the peace of mind of knowing he has a reliable option when public transportation isn’t possible, especially on rainy days or when he needs to get to class quickly.
