Through it all, SD remained committed to living fully and staying positive. They learned to find comfort and stability in sports, friends, and time spent outdoors. SD is extremely proud of their resilience and determination, and hopes to give back to the community and other foster youth. In the near future, SD sees themself running a business they feel passionately about, living independently, and keeping up the activities that bring them fulfillment.

SD has a deep passion for music and electronics. Amid the challenges they faced in the foster care system, SD discovered joy and comfort in listening to music.
