The Buckeye RanchSisi is medically fragile but full of joy. She enjoys being around people, smiling, and loves lights and music. After undergoing major hip surgery, she is recovering well. This surgery will enable her to work toward eventually standing and possibly walking.
Sisi struggles to sleep through the night, and her foster parents were advised to use a weighted blanket. Due to her medical fragility, Sisi spends most of her time in bed. This, along with her developmental delays, limits the options her foster parents have to help her feel safe while sleeping. Other items, like stuffed toys, can interfere with her medical equipment. However, a weighted blanket has been approved by their pediatrician for safe sleep.
