Andrea is a former teen mom of two children who has faced significant challenges in her life, including domestic violence and divorce. Despite these hardships, she remains dedicated to her goals. Recently, she earned her Associate's Degree and is now transferring to a Bachelor's degree program. Less than 2% of teen moms earn a degree by age 30, and she is determined to surpass that statistic! With the demands of her Bachelor's program, her ability to work is limited, and finances are very tight. Like all dedicated mothers, she prioritizes her children's needs above her own.

Andrea is a dedicated young single mom raising two children while balancing work and school to earn her degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. On days when she attends campus, she spends about four hours commuting to drop her kids off at daycare, get to class, and pick them up afterward. The cost of gas for all this travel is becoming very expensive, but she remains committed to her education and supporting her children.
