Andy is a young man from Central America who became involved with the foster system due to a difficult family situation and limited support. He will be the first in his family to graduate from high school and pursue a trade. Andy is a hardworking and caring individual. It takes him some time to adjust to new people, and he tends to be extremely quiet. He does not ask for assistance, which makes socializing a challenge for him. Currently, Andy lives with a foster family and is making positive progress toward his educational and career goals.

Andy typically does not ask for things for himself; he tends to be reserved and quiet. In our last meeting, where we discussed his future goals, he expressed that he would like to have a new backpack for school. He is interested in pursuing a trade career in either electrical work or HVAC. He needs a backpack that has enough space for a laptop as well as other school and personal items.
