Jah-na is a typical teenage girl who attends school daily and tries her best with her schoolwork. She loves getting her hair braided, which takes at least five hours, but she believes it’s worth the time! Jah-na has many friends and enjoys eating Takis. She is also interested in participating in the school play. Jah-na lives with her widowed father and receives support from the Department of Children and Families Services.

Jah'na is passionate about fashion and makeup, dreaming of studying fashion in college after high school. After losing her mother at a young age, she now lives with her father, who is currently unemployed. While she has the basic necessities, Jah'na lacks some personal items that many teenage girls desire. She hopes to receive a gift card to Burlington so she can buy a few trendy outfits for school.
