Alyssa is a bright and expressive young girl who currently lives in a foster home. She entered care at age ten after her father, who had been her primary caregiver, returned to prison. Despite the challenges she’s faced, Alyssa continues to shine through her love of dance. Dancing is how she expresses herself and finds freedom from the heaviness of her past. She dreams of one day becoming a professional dancer, performing in movies or on stage at concerts, where she can share her talent and emotions with the world.

Alyssa dreams of having a pair of pink UGG gloves to keep her hands warm during the colder season. She loves the color pink because it makes her feel happy and confident, and she imagines wearing the gloves while walking to school or dancing outside on chilly days. They will be a little piece of comfort and joy that reminds her she deserves nice things, too.
