A bike for Raymon for a faster commute to school and practice
Raymond, 20 years old, CA

Strength Based Community Change (SBCC)Raymond is a lively young man with big dreams, born into a troubled home surrounded by violence. The one stable figure in his life was his loving grandma, who became his guardian when he was ten and moved him to California. She taught him important values and nurtured his curiosity while taking him to church every Sunday. After her death from pneumonia, Raymond entered the foster system, which was a challenging experience for him. He was particularly affected by her passing and vowed to honor her legacy by succeeding in life. He enjoys playing various sports, but his true passions are football and music. Music serves as his coping mechanism, allowing him to express his emotions and cope with his past.
Raymond is excited about starting community college and joining the football team. To make his daily commute to school and practice easier, he’s looking to get an electric bike. Since his bus ride is quite long, having an ebike will allow him to travel faster and more conveniently. He also wants a model that includes pedals so he can use it for cardio training during the off-season while taking it easy on training days. This way, he can maintain his fitness and enjoy his rides more!
