Malika is a young, bright girl who had a challenging upbringing. She grew up without her father's guidance and had to help raise her five siblings. At the age of 12, she was placed into the foster care system. Despite these difficulties, she is now in college studying to become a social worker. Her goal is to help families facing similar challenges achieve better outcomes. Through her resilience, she has overcome the struggles of her past and is determined to achieve greatness.

Malika is a former foster youth, living on her own and working hard to build her future while staying in school. Right now, she’s facing food insecurity after her food assistance renewal was denied during the government shutdown. With no food assistance, she’s doing her best to navigate things alone, but she’s feeling scared, dismissed, and unsure where to turn. Having this help with groceries to get through this difficult time would mean the world to her. This request is split into two parts. This wish 2 of 2.
