Some home essentials for Rosy to make her room feel more welcoming
Rosy, 22 years old, CA
Wish submitted by:
AcademySTAYRosy entered extended foster care as a teenager and aged out at the end of 2024. Since moving into AcademySTAY, Rosy has been focused on her goals: gaining job skills, saving money. She brings a calm, determined presence to the community and is working hard to develop the life skills she didn’t have the chance to learn earlier. She’s currently taking classes at the local community college and looking for part-time work to build experience and stability. Her next chapter is just beginning.
After aging out of foster care, Rosy found herself without stable housing. Since moving into AcademySTAY, she’s been working hard to rebuild—from the ground up. She’s focused on creating a safe, stable routine and working toward financial independence. This would help Rosy purchase a few items to make her room feel like home—essentials like bedding, storage bins, or a small lamp, plus supplies for her emotional support cat. Having a space that feels calm and her own would mean a lot during this big transition.
