A keyboard for Daisy to use with her iPad
Daisy, 17 years old, NE
Wish submitted by:
Department of Health and Human Services- NebraskaDaisy is a beautiful and mature young woman who has been on her own since she was 14 years old. She made the difficult choice to leave her mother in order to escape her mother’s drug habit and has stayed with various friends since then. Daisy also has a little brother, but they are not placed together. Throughout her life, she has never experienced a stable home environment. Daisy found a wonderful foster home where the caregivers truly care for her and want her to succeed. She has been in foster care for almost a year. Her father was previously incarcerated in both state and federal prisons, but he has recently been discharged, and she has just begun to establish a relationship with him. Daisy works part-time and has a passion for camping and spending time outdoors. She loves animals and is delighted that her foster family has many pets, which they say she is wonderful with. Although Daisy is uncertain about her future, she knows she wants to continue her education, possibly in the medical field or in a profession that involves working with animals. Despite the challenges she has faced in her young life, Daisy maintains a positive and hopeful attitude.
Daisy has never had access to technology before, but she has requested an iPad with a keyboard for college. She will be graduating early in December and plans to continue her education starting in January 2026. This wish will provide her with a keyboard and case to help her keep up with her schoolwork.
Department of Health and Human Services- Nebraska requests this wish for Daisy.
