Brighid is a non-minor dependent who is currently attending adult school to obtain her high school diploma. She has applied to the Conservation Corps and is in training, with plans to leave in January 2026. Having faced many traumatic experiences at a young age, Brighid has spent much of her life in and out of foster care. She was a young mother, and her child was placed in the foster care system as a result of decisions that led to the adoption of her child. Now, Brighid is focused on personal growth and is determined to create a better future for herself. She enjoys spending time outdoors and loves hiking.

Brighid is preparing for her upcoming journey with the California Conservation Corps. Each day, she trains diligently to ensure she’s ready for the diverse and challenging terrains she will encounter, whether it’s extremely cold, hot, snow-covered, or rainy. As her birthday approaches, she has a special wish for a pair of appropriate hiking socks. These socks are essential for protecting her feet from the harsh natural elements she will face in the field.
