Throughout his time in foster care, Joel worked hard to create a better future for himself and stayed away from bad influences. Looking back on his experiences in different homes, he wants to make sure others don't go through the same negative situations he did. Even though he faced challenges in school, he believes that gaining knowledge is important and stays hopeful about his future. What helped him was remembering to stay focused, avoid negativity, and trust that his journey is just beginning, with happier times ahead.

Joel is currently working as an apprentice electrician, where he is learning all the necessary skills to soon set off on his own. As part of this learning process, it is important that Joel comes to each job site fully prepared and equipped with the proper tools. Joel is hoping for this tool belt to better organize and transport his tools throughout the day. This would greatly help Joel advance his career and work towards the future he has long dreamed of.
