Journey has been in foster care for most of her life and bounced back and forth from home to home, resulting in a lot of trauma and behavioral struggles. She loves the beach and hanging out with her friends, and both help her as she adjusts to her new foster home.

Journey has had very little stability during her life and has found it hard to make good friends as she has been moved around the foster care system since she was very little. Now, she finally has some good friends who are a good influence and have helped her to trust her peers. They often ride to school together, or to the beach on the weekends, where Journey finds community and some peace from her deep trauma. Having her own bike would allow her to make it to every hang out, arrive to school on time, and exercise a bit of independence as she grows older and learns how to trust again.
