Patrick is a recently aged-out foster youth who has transitioned into extended foster care. Though soft-spoken, he has a wonderful sense of humor and loves making jokes. He enjoys playing video games, card games, and PC games in his free time. He maintains a strong, daily relationship with his mother and stays in close contact with his younger sibling, who is still in the foster care system. He is a responsible young man with aspirations of joining the army. Patrick is focused on gaining job experience and pursuing an education in mechanics at his local community college.

Patrick is currently looking for work but has been receiving support for his food expenses through the SNAP program. However, with his SNAP benefits being halted, he has limited ability to meet his food needs for the month of November. Typically, Patrick receives financial assistance each month in the form of food stamps to help with his expenses. The transition from this support to almost nothing will significantly impact his living situation and quality of life.
