Groceries for Max's family who will be affected by SNAP being on hold
Max, 10 years old, KS

SparkWheelMax marches to the beat of his own drum and isn't afraid to be different. He thinks outside the box, asks unusual or bizarre questions, wears Christmas sweaters on Halloween, and occasionally leaves people scratching their heads. He is truly special. Max has a passion for books, animals, gaming, music, and a genuine love for pizza! At times, he feels sad about his younger sibling getting the attention, his dad not being part of his life, and not liking his mom's boyfriend, yet he always tries to make the best of every situation. When he enters school in the mornings with his hoodie pulled over his head, he's probably dealing with something that he doesn't like. Usually, all it takes is a kind word and some appreciation to bring him back to a better state.
Max treasures his three meals a day and thrives on routine. When his schedule gets disrupted, it throws him off balance, and he struggles to find his footing until things return to normal. That’s just the way he operates. The recent SNAP halt may disrupt this balance, so we’re doing everything we can to assist him. After all, a well-fed Max is a happy Max.

"The first thing this student said was, "Now I can have my favorite again, Mom! Can you make spaghetti tonight!!!" I love this so much. Thank you for granting this wish. It means so much to this family and to the staff here at school. Well fed kids are better learners! We are all so very grateful!"
