Halima is a confident individual who demonstrates determination in achieving her goals. Although her support circle is small, she has a strong relationship with her CASA, who encourages her. After living in a group home, Halima transitioned into Extended Foster Care, working hard toward her educational goals. In July 2025, she earned her GED, showcasing her commitment to her future. Currently, she is enrolled part-time at a community college in San Diego, balancing academics with career development while working with a job coach for employment. Halima is also becoming a mentor for youth with similar life challenges, reflecting her desire to give back.

Halima is recovering from a serious car accident and will soon leave the hospital, but she faces weeks of limited mobility and pain. Simple tasks, like shopping for essentials, are difficult for her.
