Jovani relies on food stamps to put food on the table. He works part-time as a security guard but has not been getting consistent hours. Food stamps and cash assistance are critical to his ability to feed himself and pay his bills. Due to the ongoing government shutdown, Jovani is very concerned about how he will be able to purchase food without food stamps being distributed in November.
