Salem spent most of her life in foster care system in NYC. She aged out when she turned 20 and moved into an apartment with New York City Public Housing. She is a wonderful mother to 2 young adorable boys and is determined to provide a loving home to her boys. Salem hopes to return to school when her boys enter public school.

Salem is a wonderful mother to 2 young boys. She relies on public assistance to keep her family together. Now that her boys have started preschool, Salem has been looking into getting her certification in plumbing. She is worried about how they will get through this month while SNAP is paused.
