Carlos finds joy and peace in the kitchen and through music. Cooking is his happy place. Being outside in nature brings him a sense of peace and helps him feel calm amidst life’s chaos. Carlos's journey hasn’t been easy, having moved around a lot as a kid after being separated from his parents. Although he hoped to return home, that dream didn’t come true. Still, Carlos stays positive and resilient, believing he can build a future filled with growth in both his garden and his kitchen.

Carlos is seeking support for food during the shutdown. Due to disruptions in his regular income and access to government resources, he is requesting a Fred Meyer gift card to purchase groceries and essential items for himself, and possibly for his household as well. This assistance would help him navigate this challenging time and ensure he has enough to eat until things normalize.
