Independent, resourceful, and tough as nails, she’s never been one to ask for help. Emily has ambitions to go to cosmetology school, as it brings her joy to make others feel good.

After a recent move to a new foster home, Emily's belongings were ruined. She isn’t one to dwell on hardship, but she’s asking for one thing: a pair of Ugg sneakers. Simple as it sounds, a new pair would mean so much, both as a symbol of moving forward and as something to help her feel grounded as she pushes through her senior year of high school.
