Alyssa has spent most of her teenage years in and out of foster care with her four younger brothers. Although she primarily lived with her grandmother, she also experienced multiple transitions between group homes and various foster families. She made a few unsuccessful attempts to reunite with her parents, which led to frequent moves. As soon as she turned eighteen, Alyssa chose to foster her four younger brothers. She does everything she can to support them and ensure they have a good quality of life. Despite suffering from fibromyalgia, Alyssa remains strong and selfless, always prioritizing her brothers' needs above her own.

Alyssa is not receiving her SNAP benefits this month because of the government shutdown. She relies heavily on these benefits to support herself and her four young brothers, whom she is fostering. Although she works as a CNA during the day, she is concerned about making ends meet and keeping food on the table for her brothers.
