In 2023, Jaylen entered foster care with his five siblings due to severe neglect by their parents. Despite experiencing multiple placement changes since then, he has remained resilient, thoughtful, and optimistic about his future. Jaylen is a kind and respectful young man who consistently shows empathy toward others, always holding doors open, cleaning up after himself, and ensuring that those around him feel included. He has a passion for sports, particularly football, and looks forward to playing on his high school team someday. Additionally, he enjoys science, comic books, anime, and action and horror movies. Intelligent, caring, and motivated to make a difference, Jaylen hopes to one day work helping other foster youth like himself.

Jaylen is really hoping to receive a pair of Nike Air Force 1 sneakers for Christmas. To him, these shoes symbolize confidence and staying true to himself. As he prepares to start high school and work towards his academic and athletic goals, having these sneakers would boost his self-esteem. After all the changes he has experienced over the past few years, this gift would allow him to express himself and feel better prepared to tackle what lies ahead.
