Josh entered the care system due to neglect and has unfortunately been separated from his siblings because of behavioral concerns. Despite these challenges, he finds joy in playing basketball and loves watching football during his free time.

Josh is a thoughtful and active young person who has developed a strong bond with his foster father through their shared love of fishing. Fishing has become an important outlet for Josh—a calming activity that helps him build trust, practice patience, and enjoy positive one-on-one time with his foster dad. For Christmas, Josh’s wish is to receive a gift card to Bass Pro Shops so he can pick out his own fishing gear. He has been talking about getting a new rod and reel, along with a few lures, to use on their fishing trips together. Having the opportunity to choose his own equipment would mean a great deal to him and would support a hobby that strengthens his connection with his foster family. This is wish 2 of 2.
