King was adopted at the age of 4 by one of his relatives. The family had suffered a long period of homelessness before finally securing permanent housing. King has suffered significant trauma in his young life which has caused him significant mental health symptoms. However, thanks to the help of a professional therapist and case manager, King is making great strides to develop coping skills and regulate his emotions. King is now helpful around the house and has developed a very trusting and loving relationship with his adopted mother. He is regarded by his family and friends as a very shy child, but loves to be included in activities. As he has made progress, he has started to develop friendships. King enjoys playing basketball, football, and riding bikes.

There is no better feeling than being celebrated on your birthday! This wish will provide King with an extra surprise to open on their special day. Although their celebrations may look different this year, it will remind them that they are valued and remembered on this important occasion!
