Kaleah is a student at San Diego City College, driven by her goals of becoming a cosmetologist or social worker. Having grown up in the foster care system, Kaleah experienced over 25 placements and overcame immense challenges, including dropping out of high school. However, her resilience led her back to school in 2019, where she earned her high school diploma in 2022, graduating with a scholarship. Now, Kaleah has transitioned out of homelessness and lives in student housing while pursuing their college education. She works freelance to make ends meet and remains focused on maintaining stability in her housing, academics, and personal relationships. Despite life's difficulties, Kaleah's faith and determination keep her moving forward, embracing the belief that her past does not define her future. She is committed to building a brighter, more stable life and achieving her goals with strength and optimism.

Kaleah has been hard at work to push herself through college without much support since leaving foster care. Working hard to get through college, Kaleah doesn't have much spending money. This often affects her ability to purchase even her basic needs. She's going into the winter months this year with only two pairs of tennis shoes and some open slide on shoes. She would love a comfortable pair of Ugg winter boots to keep her feet warm through the winter months.
