Charity is medically fragile and relies on a ventilator to breathe, but that hasn't slowed her down one bit, she's a genuinely active little girl. She has autism and loves toys that make sounds and vibrate, along with listening to music and singing along. Her resilience and joy shine through even on the toughest days.

Charity is currently undergoing speech therapy at her local children's hospital due to global developmental delays and having a tracheostomy. She is working on communication using pictures on the therapist's iPad. Her foster parents would like her to use these skills in her daily life to enhance her ability to communicate outside of speech therapy sessions. Charity has made remarkable progress during her time in foster care with all of her therapies, and her foster parents believe that utilizing an iPad for communication will further support her development. Charity often struggles to express her needs, which can lead to frustration. Being able to communicate effectively will greatly enhance her sense of connection with others. At this time, she is too young to be evaluated for other formal speech devices.
