ME DHHS - Cumberland CountyArtie entered foster care just before his first birthday. Although he was separated from his large, close-knit family, he has adjusted remarkably well to his new home and has brought joy to his current foster family. Artie is an overwhelmingly happy and sweet little boy with a fondness for blocks, manipulative toys, and bright colors. He is always smiling, laughing, and engaging with others. Artie's presence can turn any frown into a smile.
Artie entered foster care before his first birthday and has made remarkable developmental progress since then. He has started taking his first steps and has learned to express his needs, broaden his diet, and interact with other children. When Artie came into care, he had very few belongings from home and would greatly benefit from having snow boots as winter approaches. With his continued progress, he might even be asking for ice skates by the time Christmas arrives!
