Zack has been in and out of foster care several times in his short life, most recently in early 2024 when his stepfather was arrested due to an incident of domestic violence. His mother is in a sober-living home, and his birth father is incarcerated. Zack is doing well with his caregiver. He is bright and very empathetic to others. He loves to check books out from the library and have adults read to him, both for enjoyment and also as he improves his own reading comprehension.

Zack sometimes struggles with the emotions related to his trauma and bonding experiences. He thrives when he receives consistent, positive attention and does well when given focus and direction. One area he particularly enjoys is cars and trucks, especially monster trucks. He can easily identify the brands and manufacturers of cars he sees on the street, and has extensive knowledge of his favorite monster trucks from the shows he has watched. A motorized monster truck would excite and delight Zack as a Christmas gift and provide him with many hours of fun play.
