Jelani, also known as Jay, is currently living in a foster home separate from his biological siblings. He regularly keeps in touch with his family and often thinks about them. He loves to read and aspires to become a journalist in the future. In school, Jelani has many friends, is a member of the choir, and actively takes on leadership roles whenever possible.

Jay is now a high school student and exploring his own personal style. Jay has started going to the mall with his friends to go shopping for his own clothes. Jay is asking for a gift card to Spencer's for Christmas so he can pick out some new clothes for himself over the holiday break.
