Jazelle is an intelligent and beautiful pre-teen. Jazelle is one of 5 siblings that live with their grandmother in foster care. Jazelle and her siblings have been living in domestic violence and drug abuse their entire lives. Her father is in prison. Jazelle is extremely sensitive to the people and things around her. She feels deeply. She yearns for one on one attention and rarely receives it. She shared with me some insecurities that she has been dealing with lately and I am going to do my best in finding her an older woman to mentor her. Jazelle loves to write, read, and if she could take pictures, she would do that also. She is an observer. Jazelle is the child in the family that wants to make everything all better-all of the time. She struggles when she can't fix things. We have been working on accepting things the way that they are. It is a hard concept to learn, for sure. She is frequently in a very happy mood and loves the holidays. Her eyes sparkle when you talk about the things that she loves.

Jazelle is an observer. She sees people and things. She would LOVE to be able to express what she sees. She told me that if she could just capture what she sees to share with her family it would mean the world to her!
