Crystal is truly one of a kind. As an awesome big sister with a deep love for animals, she aspires to become a veterinarian. In September 2024, her life changed dramatically when she and her dad narrowly escaped a devastating fire that claimed two loved ones. Though they suffered minor burns, Crystal now faces sleepless nights and PTSD, having lost many personal belongings and spent weeks without a stable home. Recently, she reunited with her mom, who is recovering from brain surgery and has limited income. Together, they care for Crystal’s younger half-sibling and their cherished six-year-old dog. Despite the challenges, Crystal finds joy in playing with her dog, going to the movies, and making jewelry. Her favorite color is blue, and she has a special fondness for Hello Kitty. Through it all, Crystal’s resilience and spirit shine brightly, reflecting her strength and compassion.

As Christmas gets closer, Crystal is looking forward to spending time with her loved ones. This year has been tough for her, but she’s working hard to build her confidence and appreciate her self-worth. She recently found a love for hair styling, learning from her older male cousin, who works at a beauty shop. She’s excited to try out hair extensions and even make wigs from scratch. Getting a mannequin head to practice on would mean so much to her; it would not only help her with her skills but also represent her creativity and dedication.
