She is learning to walk, feed herself, and maintain her balance. Stella continues to receive extensive care due to ongoing medical issues, including frequent follow-up appointments with multiple specialists. She has developed a trauma response to medical providers following repeated needle sticks, examinations, and long hospital stays.
Stella would benefit from these educational blocks to support her developmental and physical therapy goals. The toy would help her learn different shapes, match them correctly, and use her hands and eyes together while completing a task. Stella’s physical therapist recommended this type of toy to help strengthen her hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and problem-solving abilities. These skills are especially important as Stella continues working on walking, maintaining her balance, reaching for objects, and feeding herself independently.
