Jon’s early life has been filled with challenges. For the first half of his childhood, he experienced homelessness, often left in the care of strangers while his parents struggled with substance use. After enduring this hardship, he fell into a coma and was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Despite everything he has faced, Jon remains hopeful for a brighter future, dreaming of the day he will find a loving family to adopt him.

Johnathan struggles in school due to the fact he missed school completely for the first half of his life. He is in 9th grade but has a 4th grade reading, math and language level but he is trying to get his grades up in order to graduate with his class. By having his own laptop he will be able to do his homework and help get caught up so that he can succeed in the future.
