Tamika is a sweet and reserved young lady. She has spent several years in foster care, moving between different foster homes, a group home, and residential facilities. Recently, she returned to her group home after spending two weeks in the hospital for medical surgeries. Tamika loves helping her friends whenever they feel too overwhelmed to face their struggles alone. In her free time, she enjoys spending time by herself, listening to music, making bracelets, drawing, and creating unique keychains.

Tamika really wants an MP3 player for Christmas. She loves listening to music; it helps her relax when she's bored or stressed. Music also lets her express herself when she feels misunderstood. It’s especially helpful when she’s trying to focus on her schoolwork. An MP3 player would allow her to connect with friends and make new ones. Since she just got back to her group home after being in the hospital, she has to take time to recover. Having this MP3 player would keep her entertained and comfortable while she can’t do as much as she used to.
