City Living NYShawn is a hardworking and determined young man. Despite spending most of his life in foster care, he has worked diligently to create stability in his life. He recently moved into a one-bedroom apartment and works as a security guard. Eager to improve himself, Shawn actively participates in activities that enhance both his mental and physical well-being, and he hopes to pursue higher education. With continued support, Shawn can keep growing and build the life he has always dreamed of.
Shawn has secured full-time employment as a security guard—an accomplishment he is very proud of. However, this has also brought unexpected challenges. With his new job, he lost access to Medicaid and other benefits, creating a sudden financial strain. Although he manages his money well, he currently doesn’t have enough set aside to purchase the work clothes he needs. This would help ease this burden and allow him to get the essentials he needs.
