Angelica has experienced much instability in her life from a young age and has lacked consistent financial and emotional support. Initially placed with her maternal aunt when her parents dropped out of her life, she went into foster care after child welfare stepped in to rescue her from her abusive and neglectful aunt. Although Angelica's older sister then assumed responsibility when Angelica was in high school, that relationship has deteriorated since Angelica started college and her sister's home is no longer open to her. Angelica works hard to support herself and be independent but struggles managing the high costs associated with earning her college degree and her personal needs are put last out of necessity. Despite the challenges she faces, Angelica firmly believes that with a positive outlook, anything is possible. Angelica can be described as outgoing and friendly to all she meets.

Angelica is hoping for a new set of charging blocks and cables for her cellphone. She lost her set awhile ago and has been using her laptop cable, which is not designed for charging cellphones. Without a proper charging block and cable, she no longer has a safe and reliable way to charge her phone and runs the risk of damaging her phone and/or her laptop.
